Summer Of Fun! - August '23
EdgeRush had great fun during July and August partnering with a variety of providers as the City of Salford had their HAF Summer of Fun.
We were able to bring Flag Football to a wide variety of new young people. They all had great fun pulling flags and throwing footballs as well as having a hot meal and getting to experience a huge variety of different activities.
We love taking part in these activities, working with our friends Salford Community Leisure and LifeCentre Salford.
Salford Schools Flag Final - July '23
We finished the School year with our Salford Schools finals. Teams from across the city came together to compete to see who was the best Flag team.
The day was fantastic, even if it did rain slightly. Great performances from every team made the competition incredibly competitive and the standard was really high.
After group stages, we were left with our playoffs, and a huge congratulations to St Mary's RC who were crowned champions after a tight final. St Mary's are an EdgeRush school who hadn't ever played Flag Football until we took the sport in.
Commiserations to St Luke's C of E who were runners up and the Deans Primary took the bronze medal.
